STEM and the Ocean
STEM is an acronym referring to the academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM is an interdisciplinary and applied approach that is coupled with hands-on, problem-based learning. The study of the ocean is interdisciplinary and requires an understanding of the STEM curriculum. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics all help us to learn more about the ocean. The resources included here will help marine educators to shape their ocean study around the STEM curriculum.
